Agility Partners is seeking a qualified Operations Support Specialist to fill an open position with one of our banking clients. This exciting opportunity involves monitoring and troubleshooting mainframe and open system production schedules in a fast-paced environment. You'll be responsible for ensuring Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met while identifying risks and improving operational workflows. This role is ideal for someone passionate about technical problem-solving and customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor, support, and troubleshoot production schedules for failures or delays using various tools.
- Triage basic problems, taking corrective action to ensure availability and minimize downtime.
- Ensure timely completion of production schedules and resolve processing issues.
- Follow and recommend improvements to standard operating procedures for increased efficiency.
The Ideal Candidate
- Knowledge of Tape Storage Management (TSM) or similar backup software.
- Experience with automated mainframe/open system scheduling systems, preferably IBM Tivoli.
- Familiarity with Windows, UNIX, MVS, IBM mainframe, JES2, and related monitoring tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
