Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Director of Nursing (ARNP or PA) with a passion for addiction treatment and recovery to lead our multidisciplinary treatment team. The successful candidate will oversee the medical operations of our addiction recovery programs, providing leadership in nursing and patient care services as the in-house provider and ensuring the highest standards of care for individuals struggling with substance use disorders. Knowledge of ASAM continuum of care is a necessary component of the position. We are a small independently operating fully state licensed and The Joint Commission accredited addictions treatment provider in Panama City Beach, FL.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a trusting and open line of communication with the Medical Director.
- Lead and supervise the nursing staff in the addiction treatment unit, ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate patient care.
- Collaborate with physicians, counselors, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to create comprehensive treatment plans.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, quality assurance standards, and best practices in addiction medicine.
- Oversee patient assessments, medication management, and detox protocols.
- Provide education, training, and mentorship to nursing staff and other healthcare providers.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for the clinical services department, focusing on continuous improvement in patient care delivery.
- Serve as a liaison between the nursing team, administration, and other departments to ensure cohesive and efficient operations.
- Manage medical staff scheduling, budgets, and resource allocation.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid ARNP (Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner) or PA (Physician Assistant) license in Florida.
- Master’s degree in nursing or healthcare-related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in addiction treatment, behavioral health, or a related field preferred.
- Proven leadership experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in addiction or mental health services.
- Strong understanding of ASAM, MAT (Medication-Assisted Treatment), detox protocols, and recovery programs.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and foster a positive, patient-centered environment.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, quality assurance, and compliance standards.
