JOB SUMMARY: The ERP Infrastructure Engineer will be pivotal in understanding the design, implementation, and ultimately managing the underlying systems that support Belle Tire’s ERP solution (SAP). This role will work closely with ERP consultants, internal IST teams, and stakeholders to ensure the infrastructure is robust, scalable, and secure, while supporting some other traditional IST infrastructure engineering duties as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project teams to design & maintain the ERP infrastructure, ensuring scalability, high availability, and fault tolerance.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure partners to implement ERP infrastructure components, including servers, storage, network configurations, and other related technologies.
- Monitor ERP infrastructure health, performance, and capacity, taking proactive actions to ensure optimal operation.
- Collaborate with SAP’s ECS team to update/maintain cloud configuration.
- Establish & maintain user roles, permissions and access in accordance with IST security best practice standards in mind.
- Oversee disaster recovery plans, backup & recovery activities, and ensure data integrity & availability.
- Work alongside ERP application teams to understand and implement specific infrastructure requirements.
- Coordinate with security teams to implement necessary security measures, ensuring compliance and safeguarding business data.
- Conduct performance testing and tuning of the ERP infrastructure.
- Collaborate with database administrators to optimize database performance and storage requirements.
- Document ERP infrastructure design, configurations, procedures, and architectural decisions.
- Ensure that the infrastructure adheres to established IST standards and best practices.
- Other infrastructure engineering duties may include O365, Active Directory, and/or Azure/AWS administration
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IST infrastructure roles with at least 2 years focused on supporting SAP S4 cloud environments.
- Experience with enterprise infrastructure components – servers (virtual/physical), storage solutions, network configurations, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Certifications related to infrastructure (e.g., MCSE, CCNA) or ERP solutions (e.g., SAP Technology Associate).
- Strong understanding of high-availability and disaster recovery architectures as they relate to ERP solutions.
- Experience with 1 to 2 full-lifecycle implementations of an ERP solution.
- Knowledge of performance monitoring and tuning tools specific to ERP environments.
- Ability to communicate technical details clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Work hours are typically 8-5, Mon-Fri, after-hours work may be required. The office environment requires long periods of sitting operation of standard office equipment. Requires some travel to Belle Tires store locations. Some lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, twisting, grabbing, and reaching.
