Title: Construction Manager
Salary: $120,000 - $140,000 + Bonus + Benefits

My client is a fast-growing, fully integrated developer specializing in community and small-scale utility solar and energy storage projects across the U.S. They are currently seeking a Construction Manager to lead the construction efforts for their expanding project portfolio in Illinois. This role is critical in ensuring that my client's long-term interests, as the owner and operator of these assets, are safeguarded throughout the construction process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Project Managers and the Vice President of Operations by monitoring construction activities.
- Help maintain my client's Zero Injury culture.
- Ensure construction activities comply with design and contract specifications, while also staying on schedule.
- Review project documentation such as drawings, RFIs, submittals, and completion requirements to ensure high-quality and consistent standards.
- Manage coordination with interconnecting utility providers from design through construction and commissioning.
- Attend and participate in external meetings, prepare agendas, and document verbal commitments to maintain clear communication.
- Assist in evaluating potential sites for constructability.
- Support tasks related to managing subcontractors and creating and administering RFPs.
