Electrical Site Superintendent - Utility-Scale Solar Projects
Location: Colorado (Travel and rotation required)
Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Electrical Site Superintendent for upcoming utility-scale solar projects in Colorado. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in electrical construction, particularly in solar projects, and a proven track record of successfully managing subcontractors and onsite crews. This role will be responsible for executing project work plans, overseeing the installation of electrical systems, and ensuring the project is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management & Supervision: Lead and manage onsite electrical teams, including subcontractors, to ensure project tasks are executed per specifications, schedule, and quality standards.
- Planning & Scheduling: Develop and maintain project schedules, including look-ahead planning, forecasting, and workforce allocation.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all onsite activities comply with company and industry safety standards.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor the quality of electrical installations, perform inspections, and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to align on project goals and ensure smooth execution.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain daily logs, report project progress, and prepare necessary documentation for management review.
- Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve issues related to site activities, materials, or manpower.
- Budget Oversight: Assist in managing project budgets, including tracking expenditures and ensuring effective use of resources.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience managing teams on utility-scale solar or other large-scale electrical projects.
- Strong electrical background with hands-on experience in solar installations, heavy electrical work, or similar environments.
- Proven ability to manage subcontractors, site personnel, and project deliverables.
- Proficient in planning, scheduling, and executing work plans.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with safety standards and protocols in the electrical and construction industries.
- Ability to travel and work on rotation (travel home for rotations is paid by the company).
