Natixis is looking for a vice-president-level Senior Market Data Engineer to join the Infrastructure & User Platform team.
This position will be participating in the day-to-day management of Market Data and Trading environment at Natixis CIB Americas. This responsibility encompasses all aspects from the initial request of incorporating a new system into our environment, to the second level end user support.
Responsibilities include designing, proactive maintenance, and monitoring of Market Data and Trading Infrastructures; management of vendor relationships as well as the management of Market Data and Trading Systems Related projects.
The job responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:
Management of all the Market Data and Trading applications Infrastructures
- Market Data back-end infrastructure monitoring and maintenance
- Third Party Market Data and Trading Application Support & Enhancements.
- Management of Entitlements Systems
- Prospect on new developments for the new platforms.
- Ensure cost efficient solutions to service the business needs.
Management of the Market Data Content
- Responsible for the quality and integrity of the Market Data including real-time, end of day and security master.
- Interface with Market Data Content Vendors in implementing new services.
- Ensure the good delivery of the content throughout the organization.
Proactive system monitoring, analysis, and documentation.
- Analyze and monitor the Market Data infrastructures components proactively, ensure maximum uptime in connectivity, reliability, redundancy, and operation effectiveness within the company domain(s).
- Create Market data administration documentation and maintain its accuracy, as well as the associated IT support and troubleshooting documents.
- Work with internal and external IT auditors to provide necessary audit evidence and documentation.
- Manage the monitoring system(s) for the Market Data infrastructures, develop monitoring requirements, maintain alerting and escalation policies, and produce periodic system health and utilization reports.
Applications and Systems Deployment
- Work with other infrastructure teams, various application development groups, other members of global technical services, and with business unit representatives to oversee and coordinate new implementations, as well as providing ongoing Market Data and Trading related support of end-users’ applications.
- Analyze the requirements, provide design and implementation recommendations in accordance with company’s standards and best practices, and provide the necessary documentation in the design, implementation, and system maintenance relevant to the applications.
Project Management & Coordination of Market Data and Trading Related Projects
- Interface and coordinate between users’ communities and support teams
- Design and maintain Market Data and Trading system & services documentation.
- Plan and execute upgrades to the Market Data and Trading systems and services.
- Document project requirements, propose solutions, conduct budget and ROI studies, manage project plans and execution, and report project status from start to finish.
- Enforce and follow policies and procedures for projects and task management, exercise best practices in system installation, configuration, redundancy, and system monitoring.
- Collaborate with the local/global IT teams to accomplish short- and long-term goals, manage the project plan and execution processes, and actively participate in all project phases.
- Manage the remediation of the end-user’s environment issues on a regular basis in order to meet all business requirements.
- Assess hardware and software upgrade needs and maintain the respective systems up to date in terms of current versions and patching levels.
- Design, plan, implement and maintain scripts to automate tasks that today are not standardized or are manually done.
Requirements
- BA/BS, in Computer Science, MIS or related 5+ years work experience in the Market Data field
- Self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision, communicate work status to management and peers, take full ownership of the assigned tasks and work them to completion.
- Organized, flexible, results oriented and able to multi-task
- Good understanding of industry leading Market Data technologies from a design, engineering, and troubleshooting perspective.
- Ability to convey in non-technical terms complex technical explanations related to problems, designs, etc. Software/Applications, LSEG Refinitiv Real Time Data System (RTDS fka TREP), Tibco Rendez Vous, Rendez Vous Router, Bloomberg Systems (Terminal, API, Server API, Bpipe), Market Access Systems: example Tradeweb, ION, Fidessa, Windows 10/11, Windows Server, Unix Based systems: Linux Redhat, Unix Shells, Powershell & Python a plus
- Basic switching and routing, Firewall and Nating, Proxies, and Multicast Basic understanding.

The salary range for this position will be between $145,000 - $175,000. Natixis is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Actual base salary will vary and will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, skills set, applicable licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Base salary is only one component of our total rewards package. Natixis also offers a generous benefits package, and you may be eligible for a discretionary incentive award depending on company and individual performance.
