TCI has an immediate need for a C# / PLC Software Engineer in Shelbyville, KY. This is not a C2C opportunity. This is a Direct Hire opportunity.
SUMMARY
The C# / PLC Software engineer will implement Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Software and will provide expertise to the shop floor regarding manufacturing applications and machine integration. This role is pivotal in implementing production line systems and enhancing existing solutions through modifications and updates to applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with architecting and implementation of Manufacturing Execution System (MES) modules and system integration solutions accordance to the company’s digital transformation strategy.
- Develop internal or configure commercial off-the-shelf software for MES related applications as needed.
- Modify and/or create applications with Microsoft Visual Studio C#.
- Serve as subject matter expert for Operations and Quality related MES modules.
- Configure and customize MES software to meet specific manufacturing requirements, including process workflows, data collection, and reporting functionalities.
- Provide data feeds to external partners using Microsoft (SQL) Server Integration Services (2019+).
- Gathering and understanding of business requirements for data visualization and analysis.
- Collaboration with engineers and analysts to acquire, clean, and transform data for reporting purposes.
- Data security and compliance with best practices.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical degree.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Solid proficiency with software including: C#, ASP.NET, Web Forms, SQL Server, PLC programming and ERP knowledge.
- Prior experience in developing an in-house MES solution or implementing an off-the-shelf MES package is highly desirable.
- Project management and time management/organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels.
- Ability to travel to other sites as needed including IN and PA. Must have valid drivers’ license and ability to travel long distances independently, familiarity with GPS devices. Long-distance travel may be minimal.
- Must live in commutable distance to Shelbyville, KY and willing to work onsite as needed.
