Leading Law Firm with a National Labor & Employment Practice is looking for a skilled Litigation Attorney to join their growing team. The Attorney in this position will be part of a collaborative team with a lot of opportunity for growth and advancement.
The Labor and Employment Attorney will represent clients in a variety of complex, employment related-matters including, labor disputes, workplace policies, and compliance with federal and state employment laws.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background or strong interest in Employment Law, excellent research and writing skills, and have minimum of 2 years of Civil Litigation experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice to clients on a wide range of labor and employment issues, including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, wage and hour disputes, and employee benefits.
- Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, settlement agreements, and workplace policies.
- Represent clients in administrative proceedings before agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the Department of Labor (DOL).
- Defend clients in litigation, including depositions, mediations, and hearings.
- Conduct workplace investigations and provide guidance on compliance with employment law and regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams and other attorneys on complex cases and legal strategies
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from accredited law school.
- Admission to the California bar
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in complex civil litigation and/or labor and employment law
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively to clients and colleagues.
- Strong negotiation and litigation skills.
Compensation:
- The salary range for this role is $150,000 - $200,000 or more. Compensation is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience and qualifications.
