This position involves conducting Compensation and Pension (C&P) exams and Separation Health Assessments to support our nations veterans. Position Overview:

Responsibilities:
- Compensation & Pension (C&P) Exams:
- Conduct one-time, non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments for veterans.
- Exams are interview-based, with some physical assessments (range of motion testing, muscle strength testing, etc.).
- No treatment or prescription required.
- Coverage Options:
- Travel and perform exams at designated facilities.
- Option to schedule veterans within your own practice.
- Work part-time (4-hour shifts) or full-time (8-hour shifts), depending on your availability.
Qualifications:
- Specialty Requirements:
- We are accepting physicians from the following specialties:
- Family Medicine
- Internal Medicine
- Orthopedic Surgery
- Physicians with a general medicine background or experience in compensation and pension exams.
- Familiarity with:
- Musculoskeletal, diabetes, and cardiovascular conditions.
- Proficient in METs testing and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
- System Requirements:
- Must use a goniometer for physical assessments.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools related to veterans' health assessments.
- Certification Requirements:
- Board Certified in your specialty.
- Active and unrestricted Alabama medical license.
- Willingness to complete DMA certification (CME credits available, certification required after privileging).
