Mechanical Estimator
We are currently working alongside a large-scale prominent leader in the commercial and industrial mechanical and electrical contracting industry, who are currently expanding all over the East Coast of America, They are searching for an experienced mechanical Estimator to come and join their team in Norfolk.

Role
- Review blueprints, specifications, and other documents to understand project requirements and scope.
- Prepare cost estimates for mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping.
- Perform accurate quantity take-offs to determine accurate man hours and material requirements.
- Develop and submit competitive bids including detailed breakdowns of costs.
- Maintain records of estimates, bid documents, and bid submissions.
- Develop specific project bid strategies, techniques, advantages, etc. competitive bid day advantages
- Review estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness before formal quotation.
- Drafting detailed customer proposals.
You must have
- Mechanical and/or plumbing trade knowledge
- Industry experience in the same or similar field for five years
- Knowledge or commercial MEP and estimating
- working knowledge of mechanical equipment, techniques, drawings and specifications
- knowledge of building materials, engineering standards and codes
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency interfacing with technology, including Microsoft Office
