Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Senior Financial Analyst with a strong background in finance, accounting, and quantitative analysis to join our team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in public accounting (preferably Big 4) and hold CPA or CFA credentials. You will play a key role in supporting financial decision-making by conducting detailed analyses of budgets, spending variances, inventory management, and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) performance across our network of practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management & Variance Analysis:
- Review inventory variances across multiple practices, identify discrepancies, and investigate root causes.
- Collaborate with practice managers and doctors to analyze spend on purchases, price per unit, and accounts payable (AP).
- Budget Analysis & Variance Reporting:
- Compare practice budgets with actual performance, identifying key variances.
- Question and assess spending behavior with department heads and physicians to understand spending trends.
- Performance Reporting:
- Analyze budget results, develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) that align with operational goals.
- Build financial models to forecast future revenue, expenditures, and profit margins.
- M&A Financial Analysis:
- Perform quantitative analysis on mergers and acquisitions, evaluating potential targets and integrating financials into existing business structures.
- Segment revenues and costs into surgical, non-surgical, med spa, and other categories for detailed analysis.
- Cash Flow Modeling:
- Develop and maintain cash flow models to support financial planning and liquidity management.
- Provide insights on optimizing cash flow for new investments and operational improvements.
Qualifications:
- Education & Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required.
- CPA or CFA designation preferred.
- Experience:
- 4-6 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within public accounting or Big 4 firms coming from Audit or Transactional Services/ M&A
- Preferred but not required: Strong background in healthcare services, multi-site organizations, or private equity-backed businesses (cosmetic surgery/aesthetics preferred)
- Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Proficiency with financial systems and tools (Excel, ERP systems, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a deep attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
- Knowledge of healthcare industry dynamics, inventory management, and revenue cycle management is a plus.
