The Scheduler/Planner will oversee the short and long term planning and scheduling of the maintenance activities for the Sulfuric Acid Regeneration Plant, at Morses Mill New Jersey. The Scheduler/Planner works in close coordination with the Maintenance Manager, MRO Clerk, and Operations Manager in developing work plans, prioritizing work and setting schedules. The Scheduler/Planner will also have primary responsibility for maintaining the Computerized Maintenance Management System and Asset Management software application (CMMS/AM) and associated database for all fixed assets; create, revise and close maintenance work orders; track history of repairs of equipment and; determine timing for replacement. Scheduler/Planner will create and revise as needed a preventive maintenance schedule consistent with program objectives and management instructions. Scheduler/Planner will provide analytics and reports on preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure maintenance staff is completing repairs timely and accurately.
PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for short and long term planning, scheduling and coordinating all aspects of
maintenance work to be performed at the Sulfuric Acid Regeneration Plant.
● Improve work force productivity and work quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning and coordination of all available resources including staff manpower, contractors, materials and equipment.
● Collect and analyze field activity and equipment history data and evaluate for trends.
● Review, recommend and implement maintenance procedures and quality control measures for operational staff.
● Daily discuss activities and backlog with supervisors to insure work is scheduled appropriately and executed successfully.
● Utilize planning tools to optimize planning and resource use. Create and/or Monitor and report KPIs to track planning and work completion performance.
● Responsible for updating and maintaining the asset registry and records in the asset management system.
● Responsible for monitoring execution of and recording regulatory/contract compliance work in the CMMS/Asset Management system and reporting status to the Maintenance Manager.
● Responsible for driving best practices to insure information is being included in time-sheets and recorded appropriately in the work orders.
● Lead weekly Planning and KPI review meetings.
● Develop and Produce reports for various management teams within the project.
● Responsible for procurement process to ensure alignment with scheduling, including requisitions, purchase orders, developing project/equipment scopes, soliciting quotes and all associated procurement functions.
Qualifications
Education/Equivalent:
● High School Diploma or GED required
● Valid Driver’s License
● Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline preferred
Work Experience:
● 1 – 3 years related planning work in operations
● 3-5+ years plant maintenance experience
Strong analytical, statistical and data management
● Proficiency with asset management/maintenance management(CMMS) programs, including procurement and purchasing functions such as requisitioning, inventory, equipment and work order management
● Knowledge of the principles and practices of asset management and maintenance
● Knowledge of water and wastewater system operations
● Proficient in MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, database (SQL)
programming and other software used in plant operations.
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills
● Well organized
● Knowledge of OSHA PSM requirements
● Knowledge of and/or experience with SAP S4 Hana and Prometheus helpful
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work Environment:
Physical: Walking on uneven terrain; climbing ladders and stairs; moderate to heavy lifting up to 50 pounds; sit for long periods at a time.
● Sensory: Must be able to see clearly and hear warning devices and alarms. Must be able to speak to give direction and converse with other officials. Viewing of computer screen, use of computer and mouse.
● Mental: Must be able to read complex reports; write detailed reports and prepare presentations; analyze complex operational challenges and resolve same.
