We are looking for Speech Language Pathologist for 24-25 SY to work in person at one of our school districts.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify speech and language disorders, including articulation, fluency, voice, and language processing.
- Individualized Education Plans (IEPs): Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement IEPs tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Therapeutic Interventions: Design and deliver evidence-based therapy sessions, focusing on improving communication skills through engaging activities and exercises.
- Collaboration and Consultation: Work closely with teachers, special educators, and other professionals to integrate speech and language strategies into classroom practices and support overall student development.
- Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
- Parent and Caregiver Training: Provide guidance and resources to families, empowering them to support their child’s communication development at home.
- Professional Development: Stay current with research and best practices in speech-language pathology through ongoing education and training.
This would include providing therapy, documenting services rendered, as well as conducting assessments, compiling assessment results into a formal report, writing IEP goals, and completing progress reports.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working with the pediatric population
- Experience with a variety of speech techniques
- Master’s Degree in Speech & Language Pathology from an accredited university
- Valid Illinois Speech Pathology and Audiology Speech-Language Pathology License or Conditional License or ability to obtain one
