Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lab Manager to oversee our Environmental and Vibration Testing laboratory focused on automotive applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in lab management, environmental testing, and vibration analysis. You will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality standards in testing and compliance, while leading a team of dedicated professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Laboratory Management: Oversee daily operations of the testing lab, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols.
Testing Procedures: Develop, implement, and refine testing protocols for environmental and vibration tests, ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, SAE).
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of technicians and engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
Equipment Oversight: Ensure all testing equipment is maintained, calibrated, and operating optimally. Manage procurement and installation of new testing equipment as needed.
Data Analysis: Oversee data collection and analysis, ensuring accurate reporting and documentation of test results.
Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure the reliability and accuracy of testing processes and results.
Project Management: Collaborate with engineering teams to support product development, ensuring timely and effective testing outcomes.
Compliance: Stay updated on industry regulations and standards, ensuring all lab operations comply with local, national, and international guidelines.
Budget Management: Assist in budgeting and resource allocation for the lab, optimizing operational costs without compromising quality.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in laboratory management, with a focus on environmental and vibration testing in the automotive sector.
Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and equipment related to environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, etc.) and vibration analysis.
Proven experience in leading and developing teams.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
