Salary Range: $55k - $70k annually

We serve food service customers, such as restaurant chains and seafood distributors, as well as retail customers: food retailers, retail wholesalers, & club warehouses.
Responsibilities:
- Hire carriers to ship product throughout the United States
- Effectively communicate with warehouses and carriers to ensure product ships and delivers in accordance with our customers’ varied requirements
- Identify and resolve freight related Losses as they occur within the supply chain
-Warehouse Mis-shipments – overages / shortages
-Carrier mishandling – damage / missing
-Customer-related allegations – proof of delivery
- Maintain smooth flow of information between Logistics and our cross-collaborative teams
- Flexible and able to multi-task as last-minute emergencies are standard
- Assist in maintaining our carrier database – contracts and insurance documentation
- Assist with special projects as requested
Experience & Skills:
- 5+ years Logistics / freight-related experience – REQUIRED
- Proven experience identifying and managing Logistics Claims – REQUIRED
- Perishable / frozen (food) commodity experience is a plus
- Experience in the seafood industry is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Education:
- Bachelor's degree is preferred
