Process Owner/Engineer
Targeted Compensation:
$80,000 - $100,000
Job Summary:
Insight Global is seeking a Process Owner/Manufacturing Engineer to support a large aerospace client in Hampton, VA. The ideal candidate will have at least 2-6 years of experience in production quality control, industrial engineering, or a similar discipline within a high volume manufacturing environment.
This position will be responsible for ensuring that the manufacturing processes are performed in compliance with the company's methods, materials, and equipment specifications.
Essential Functions:
- Modify and/or approve work instructions (Activity Instructions and Product Criteria) for the post cast manufacturing processes, such as shell removal, gate removal, machining, surface preparation, finishing, and dimensional.
- Responsible to monitor post cast processes and ensure that they are stable, sustainable, and in control.
- Perform regular MSAT audits on post cast processes.
- Determination of root cause of any deviations from critical processes, and development of timely reaction plans to correct the deviations.
- Work with cross-functional teams and/or individually to identify and correct causes of scrap and rework, and to identify improvements and cost reductions in post cast processes.
- Assist with development and implementation of new materials and techniques.
- Assist with training of operators for new methods or instructions.
- Perform data retrieval and data analysis using Excel, PowerBI, and other software systems.
- Flexibility to work off-shift hours and weekends for occasional training or technical support.
- Other duties may be requested to support Process Owner team.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required, ideally in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
- This position entails access to export-controlled items you must be able to lawfully obtain access to such items.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience manufacturing operations and/or continuous improvement
- Experience in metal finishing and/or abrasives preferred
- Leadership experience strongly preferred
