JOB DESCRIPTION
Insight Global is hiring an Electrical Systems Manager out of our client's Paducah, KY location. Our client encompasses operating units involved in transporting bulk commodities on America's inland waterways, delivering fuel and supplies to the towing industry, and providing a ship anchorage in Louisiana. As the leading carrier, they operate a fleet that transports aggregates, grain, fertilizer, coal, ores, alloys, steel products, chemicals, and other products. The Electrical Systems Manager is responsible for general management and decision-making concerning overall electrical systems for vessels and power grids for facilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Managing the direction of the Engineering department along with the electrical and control needs of the vessels and facilities.
- Maintaining a high level of safety support, specifically through safety observations, evaluations, and audits
- Assuring proper documentation of electrical work done
- Attending routine staff, Overhaul, ISAFE & project progress meetings
- Sourcing parts for projects and overhauls/supervising daily shoreside or running vessel repairs
- Coordinating and directing vendors and Ingram associates during the process of electrical repair or install
- Experience with the installation of automated control processes of electrical and mechanical equipment
- Maintaining logs, records, drawings, and other documents
- Reviewing invoices from overhauls and general electrical repair
- Assuring essential documentation from vessel repairs are maintained
- Helping with the training of chief and junior engineers
The salary expectation for this position is $130-$150k depending upon years of experience and qualifications.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Must be able to organize and prioritize large amounts of information and use the information to align with customer service, operations and engineering regulatory, and company specifications
- Must have the physical ability to transit all work environments for vessel and facility docks (i.e. lifting, climbing, confined spaces, maneuvering hazardous areas)
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- PE License (or ability to obtain)
- NFPA70 and NFPA70E (or ability to obtain)
