Quality Engineering Manager
Technimark is a rapidly growing global manufacturer of custom rigid plastics solutions. Working in conjunction with some of the world’s most respected companies we create, design, and deliver products across multiple industry sectors including healthcare, packaging, and consumer products, and we’re looking to hire a Quality Engineering Manager to join our team located at our corporate headquarters in Asheboro, NC.
As a Quality Engineering Manager, you’ll take ownership of high-impact projects that shape our quality strategy and contribute to major improvements in processes and products. You'll work with cutting-edge quality engineering tools to optimize production from start to finish, while mentoring other staff members and advising senior leadership on technical matters. Your role will be critical in shaping the future of our business by ensuring that our products meet the highest standards.
Job duties/Responsibilities:
- Lead quality improvement initiatives using PDCA, Six Sigma, Lean, and Kaizen techniques to drive cost-effective solutions and process improvements.
- Perform statistical analysis, testing, and product measurement to ensure consistent quality and identify areas for enhancement.
- Provide mentorship and leadership to staff Quality Engineers and Supervisors, fostering a culture of growth and continuous learning.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to address non-conformances, CAPAs, and customer complaints, ensuring timely and thorough resolution.
- Work closely with customers to maintain relationships and ensure product quality expectations are met.
- Drive process improvements by analyzing root causes and implementing corrective actions, while maintaining accountability for key quality metrics.
- Obtain and maintain Black Belt Certification to further enhance your problem-solving toolkit.
Desired experience:
- 5+ years of experience in Quality or Engineering within a manufacturing/operations environment.
- Proven expertise in Risk Management and understanding of FDA and ISO standards.
- Advanced skills in Lean, Six Sigma, and statistical methodologies, including SPC, DOEs, and Measurement System Analysis.
- Strong command of statistical software packages with the ability to graph, analyze, and present data that drives decision-making.
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving, with the ability to make sound, real-time decisions.
- Excellent leadership skills, with a focus on mentorship, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
- Black Belt Certification (or commitment to achieving it) is a must.
