What you will do:
The Drafting Supervisor will lead our Industrial Damper production drafting team by training, planning, assigning, and balancing the team’s workload along with other special design projects as needed. This position will establish deadlines and determine best practices for meeting our sales and customers’ expectations.
How you will do it:
- Communicate organizational needs, oversee employees' performance, provide technical drafting and product guidance, identify developmental needs, and manage the reciprocal relationship between staff and organization.
- Review all incoming/outgoing customer orders into the department to ensure the best design principles and business practices are utilized to meet our customer’s needs.
- Ability to organize work and maintain a high level of productivity output.
- Minimize any known customer defects by developing permanent solutions and retraining the teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
- Track and report out the department’s weekly performance, backlogs, and achievements
- Review and enforce company policies as needed.
Qualifications Required
- BS in Drafting Technology, ME, or MET.
- 6 years' experience creating customer drawings.
- Advanced Inventor CAD Skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated efficiency with Autodesk Inventor and MS Office products.
- Read, analyze, and interpret customer jobs to generate detailed drawings to their specifications.
- Adaptability to changing situations and workload requirements.
- Able to apply fundamental engineering theories, mathematics, mechanics, and physical science concepts.
