Appleton Finn are working closely with a key client on the look out for experienced & ambitious Solar Construction Managers to join their rapidly expanding commercial team.
The successful individual will have 5+ years of experience managing large-scale commercial and industrial solar projects in the range of 500KW-5MW.
Candidates have the opportunity to join a rapidly growing and highly supported solar division with multi-million project backlog.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Preconstruction Services:
- Participates in planning regarding project schedule and budget.
- Ensures consistent communication on expectations and procedures with subcontractors and employees.
Project Start-up and Scheduling:
- Reviews project specifications, scopes, and contract conditions for quality control.
- Provides guidance on materials, schedules, and procedural changes.
Project Administration, Operations, and Close-out:
- Ensures security and a safe working environment.
- Reports subcontractor performance issues and assists in managing performance.
- Verifies the reasonableness and execution of extra charges and change orders.
Job Specifications:
- Bachelor’s in engineering (preferred) or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of construction experience.
- 5+ years in solar / renewable energy industry.
- OSHA 30 required.
