Position Details:
*Direct hire/full time
*Shift - 2nd (1:30PM – 11:30PM, Monday-Friday) - Shift could change in future based on Co. needs
*Annual salary - Starting at up to 115k plus 8% shift differential & a targeted 10% annual bonus

Job Description
What you will do
The Production Manager will be responsible for a substantial portion of the daily production function within a plant. This individual will incorporate best-in-class practices to increase productivity and drive improvement in all business metrics and will focus on development and management of production personnel, particularly next generation leadership.
How you will do it
- Direct Production Supervisors in the plant and coordinate production work through familiarity with all manufacturing processes.
- Maintain a continual awareness of safety, quality, efficiency, scrap and production schedules.
- Motivate and direct the training of Production Supervisors. Train and develop individuals, instill in them a sense of responsibility, and evaluate them on their progress.
- Attain production goals through effective scheduling to meet customer demands.
- Drive daily, weekly, and monthly performance metrics to ensure budgetary requirements are achieved.
- Provide leadership to create a work environment that drives excellence in productivity, customer service and quality.
- Prepare and lead the execution of annual operating budgets and financial plans.
What we look for (Experience/Skills)
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five (5) years of experience working as a Production Supervisor in a manufacturing environment OR an Associate degree and a minimum of eight (8) years of experience working as a Production Supervisor in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Proficiency using MS Office Suite.
- Experience leading manufacturing direct labor and or supervisors
Preferred:
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience utilizing Lean tools to measure and improve the departments Key Business Drivers (i.e. VSM, SMED, 5s, TPM, Kaizen, etc.).
- Previous experience working for companies that focus on fabrication, machining, assembly experience
- Flexibility and ability to work weekends as needed
