About the Role:
The Program Director will be responsible for planning, organizing, and integrating a mental health program. They will provide expert assistance and information to executive management on mental health matters. This is exempt salaried.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain an outreach and engagement program for incarcerated individuals age 18+ with substance use and/or psychiatric disorders.
- Provide case management, outreach, and organize community resources to support clients' transition out of correctional facilities.
- Lead field-based services integrating mental health and recovery services, case management, counseling, and crisis intervention.
- Conduct assessments for substance use and mental health issues, domestic violence, abuse, and physical health needs.
- Supervise documentation, program records, and quality improvement of case files.
- Enforce program safety policies and procedures to ensure client and staff safety.
- Maintain communication with law enforcement, clients, staff, and community service agencies.
- Develop and monitor long-term plans and goals focused on achieving the company's mission.
- Direct the development of and monitor performance against the annual program budget.

Required Skills:
- Experience in program development and management
- Knowledge of mental health and substance use treatment
- Strong communication and leadership skills
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in mental health counseling
- Experience working with incarcerated individuals
LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, & SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
A valid Clinical Social Worker license or Counseling license issued by the state of California is preferred. Additional Preferred Qualifications include: California State Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor such as CAADAC, CAS, Registered Addiction Specialist (RAS), Certified Addictions Treatment Counselor (CATC) or CAAR; Certification as Licensed Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LAADC); Registered/certified prior to hire with the California Association of Addiction Recovery Resources (CAARR), with Breining Institute, or any other certifying organization is preferred. Good driving record. CPR/First Aid Certified. Must obtain and maintain a valid Criminal Background and Sheriff’s Department Clearance, TB & Physical.
