Paralegal (Collections) – Organization in Sterling, VA

- 100% remote with 25% travel to court hearings in the Great Lakes area

- 3+ years of experience in litigation collections, legal operations, legal case management, or financial services, with a focus on private student loan recovery or consumer debt
- Ability to travel 25% of the time, sometimes on short notice

Job Descriptio
- Review and oversee the status of assigned accounts, ensuring seamless legal collection from initiation to conclusion
- Support workload to ensure comprehensive coverage of legal collections and compliance
- Foster and maintain positive relationships with attorneys and service providers
- Monitor bankruptcy filings and collection litigation trajectory, including scheduling and attending legal proceedings when necessary
- Review and verify the precision of affidavits and discovery record
- Knowledge of FDCPA, CFPB, FCRA, GLBA, and other relevant State and Federal legal laws and regulations
