SUMMARY:
San Diego FC is searching for an energetic and passionate individual to be our Equipment Manager. This position will primarily focus on the daily operations of the club’s First Team equipment needs that will include responsibilities for overall management of laundry services, inventory management, equipment organization, and assisting players and the coaching staff with their gear needs. This individual should have a drive to help and assist people through a customer service approach and a genuine desire to be successful in a professional sports environment.
RESPONSIBILITES:
- Formulate distribution system for new equipment, uniforms and footwear.
- Document and ensure that all equipment is properly labeled, organized, and stored for easy access by players and staff.
- Coordinate with the Head Equipment Manager the inventory of all team equipment, including game kits, training gear, and other accessories.
- Assist players and coaching staff with their gear needs during practices, games, and travel.
- Design and lead laundry duties, including washing, drying, and organizing team uniforms and gear.
- Organize and set up equipment for training sessions, games, and travel.
- Plan and assist in the ordering and purchasing of new equipment and supplies as needed.
- Analyze equipment usage and condition to recommend repairs or replacements as necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment rooms, locker rooms, and storage areas.
- Collaborate with other groups and staff to ensure that all supplies are stocked and readily available.
- Assist in keeping detailed records of equipment inventory, purchases, and maintenance activities.
- Adhere to league regulations and guidelines regarding equipment standards and safety.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates can meet the requirements with a combination of experience in the following areas:
- Previous experience working in equipment management, preferably in a professional sports setting or with a soccer team.
- Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work successfully in a fast-paced and pressure filled environment.
- Customer service oriented with a high work ethic, and ability to work both independently and part of a wider team.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of soccer equipment and apparel brands.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment as needed.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
DETAILS: DAILY
Staff & Player Locker Rooms:
- All kits are personally labeled/crested for staff and players at all times.
- Ensure locker room is tided before heading to training (runners/sandals/laundry etc.)
- All kits are distributed in the evening or in the morning before all staff and players arrive.
- Locker room is set up daily before and after training/games with toiletry supplies.
- Cleat Pro Hydrocollator maintenance - cleaned monthly and add water daily.
- Report on new shipments arrival and inventory to destinated areas
