My client, a top-ranked reputable Civil/Site work General Contractor, is seeking a Senior Estimator to work alongside Executive leaders executing a strategic growth plan. Known for their award-winning construction team, strong employee tenure, they excel in delivering high-profile, large-scale civil and site development projects.
My client operates across: Site Development, Earth Work, Excavating Utility, Concrete, Civil.
Responsibilities:
- Execute a strategic growth plan with the Director of Estimating expanding the company into new markets
- Win new work to further grow their backlog for new larger projects.
- Bid Preparation: Analyse project plans, specifications, and drawings to understand the scope of work.
- Gather and evaluate cost data from subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments.
- Review and revise estimates as needed to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
- Identify potential risks and uncertainties associated with projects.
- Develop contingency plans to mitigate risks and minimize cost overruns.
- Contract Negotiation: Collaborate with project managers and procurement teams to negotiate favourable terms with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Monitor project progress and compare actual costs to estimated costs.
- Proposal Development: Assist in the preparation of comprehensive proposals for clients, including technical information, pricing, and project schedules.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of estimating experience.
- Experience in Primavera or HCSS.
- Experience working on large scale site projects.
- Ability to meet deadlines and process projects quickly.
