Title: Technical Project Manager
Location: Dallas, Texas(Day 1 Onsite at customer location)
Primary Skills: Automotive domain is mandatory at least current or one or two projects
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced professional with a solid background in the automotive industry, specializing in telematics and connected vehicle technologies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with commercial vehicles and the ability to work effectively with technical teams. This role requires both technical expertise and strong communication skills, within automotive industry. You will also serve as a key liaison between Supply Chain Operations and the IT Development team to facilitate systems analysis and ensure alignment with business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and collaborate with a cross-functional team for efforts estimation and create project execution plans
- Continually track for Planned and Actuals for assigned projects in terms of scope (plan/actual), Quality of output, and course correction with a high level of collaboration with project stakeholders.
- Continual benchmark best in class practices (outside in benchmark), drive productivity and improve V&V processes
- Delivery of projects per the commitment
- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of architects, BA, designers, developers, V&V engineers to develop products as per business requirements
- Technical design reviews to ensure the project is delivering per architecture
- Drive Requirements driven testing (100% Traceability Requirements, Development, Test, Defect)
- Reporting project status weekly to ensure there are no surprises.
- Follow policies and procedures including, but not limited to, Change Control, project management methodology.
- Change management in place to manage the changes to the project
- Processes improvements - document existing processes, identify and analyze gaps between current processes and the desired state, design new processes, develop process performance measures and plan the transition to new processes as needed.
- Leverage industry standards and best practices to develop standards processes, procedures and documentation.
- Serve as a key liaison between Supply Chain Operations and IT Development team to provide systems analysis and support
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent).
- Experience working in supply chain and IT environments.
- Familiarity with Agile or Lean methodologies.
