The Control Engineer develops and maintains control systems (DCS and PLC) for real-time, on-line control of production processes.
Experience implementing controls in an Emerson DeltaV System, Valmet D/3 or equivalent control system in a chemical operation is desired.
Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers such as Schneider Electric M580/M340, Allen-Bradley SLC-5/04, CompactLogix, ControlLogix, Siemens S5 and S7 is desired.
Ability to implement and troubleshoot industrial communication networks including Modbus TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP, Profinet, DeviceNet,RS-232/422/485.
Strong interpersonal / customer service skills, with the ability to work collaboratively at all levels within a manufacturing organization.
Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, and Technical Service team members by providing control system optimization (e.g., variability reduction, control loop performance monitoring, alarm management), troubleshooting, and technical support.
