SUMMARY
The Associate Marketing Manager – Social Media will work with a cross-functional team that is charged with creating best-in-class content, attracting and engaging consumers, and raising brand awareness. This position requires exceptional interpersonal skills, creativity, strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to function effectively with minimal direction and drive projects to successful, timely completion.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies across platforms, while understanding our customer base and three brands (Kamado Joe, Masterbuilt and Char-Griller)
- Write and publish post content for social media channels, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, X, and TikTok to drive social growth, views and engagement
- Curate UGC and influencer content that resonates with fans and followers
- Create reports on social media performance. Identify trends and insights. Make and implement recommendations to optimize performance
- Develop social media campaign ideas and partner with cross-functional teams in execution
- Creation and maintenance of social media content calendar
- Support the Digital Marketing Director in bringing our three grilling brands to life
- Coordinate with community management team and graphic design team to support social media initiatives, including requesting graphic design support, community FAQs, and social listening
- Stays current with industry and social media trends, tools, innovations, and best practices
- Be a creative thinker and problem solver with skills in collaboration and idea generation
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Understanding of social media marketing, content development and how to align with business growth
- Understanding of vertical video trends and how to maximize content for viewability
- Expertise with social platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X and preferably Sprout
- Advanced-level in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Asana experience a plus
- Video editing ability a plus
- Experience working in a multi-brand environment is a plus
- Writing – ability to write in a provided brand tone and voice. Experience with copywriting a plus.
- Experience using Chat GPT is a plus
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapting with flexibility
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to take direction, while still using creative problem resolution skills
- Willingness to learn new technologies and techniques
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Self-motivated, proactive, and resourceful, with a positive, professional attitude
- Passion to change the outdoor cooking experience and contribute to the company vision
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- 2-5 years of experience in social media marketing
- Bachelor's Degree in public relations, communications, journalism, business, marketing, advertising or other related field
