A cutting-edge building construction company spread across the US are on a mission to build out several new EV factories by the end of this decade. We are seeking an experienced Engineering lead that will join one of our operator clients on a W2 basis paying up to $90 per hour on a hybrid basis. The candidate will be highly skilled Project Mechanical Engineer that has extensive knowledge of Revit, sequences of operations, and technical writing skills.
About Role
An experienced Project Manager or Engineering Lead that will be a part of a project team from kickoff to programming, schematic design and development of construction documents as well as construction administration up to project close-out. Has Strong working knowledge of Revit, including ductwork design, piping design, coordination of family creation, Revit Schedules and sequences of operation. Coordinate with Project Managers for deliverables and Basis of Design while maintaining and engaging a positive and profession demeanor. Support the Senior Mechanical engineer for mechanical engineering and design on projects.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge in scope definition, design schedule management, coordination with other disciplines, design document creation, and quality reviews;
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
- 10+ years of engineering experience in industrial design and construction industry with a current Professional Engineers license in Texas;
- Minimum 5 years of experience as the primary engineering interface with multiple clients
- Proficiency in energy modeling using a IESVE or other current DOE-2 modelling software (ASHRAE 140 Compliant)
Responsibilities:
- The Project ME will directly support our clients by providing technical expertise in the execution of complicated, multi-discipline, multi-stakeholder, and fast track projects
- Provide design in alignment with firm Quality Process Manual;
- Perform load calculations, systems design, cross-discipline coordination, and signing and sealing of contract documents;
- Conduct LCCA Analysis
- Mentor junior engineers and participating in in-house continuing education programs;
- Manage Construction Administration phase of a project including, including submittal review, RFI responses, and site visit proficiency;
- RFP scope definition and resource estimation.
- Perform engineering studies for highly technical clients whose details include but are not limited to phased system loading, payback analysis, and knowledge of industry trends;
- Technical writing for engineering studies, Basis of Design documents, Sequence of Operations documents, and narratives for non-technical audiences explaining engineering concepts to facilitate decision-making;
