Job Summary:
The Lease Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining a portfolio of multiple leases within the back office, ensuring all lease-related documents and agreements are accurately processed, recorded, and tracked. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle lease negotiations, payments, and compliance with lease terms. The Lease Administrator plays a critical role in ensuring that all lease agreements are properly managed and that any issues are addressed promptly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the administration of multiple leases, ensuring accuracy in lease terms, agreements, and related documents.
- Track and manage lease deadlines, such as renewal options, rent escalations, and terminations.
- Coordinate with legal, finance, and property management teams to ensure compliance with lease terms.
- Process rent payments, security deposits, and other lease-related financial transactions.
- Review and audit lease agreements for accuracy and adherence to company policies.
- Maintain a detailed database of lease documents, amendments, and communication history.
- Prepare reports and summaries on lease portfolios for management review.
- Handle tenant and landlord communication related to lease issues, disputes, or changes.
- Assist in the lease renewal and negotiation processes as required.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing lease agreements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, real estate, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in lease administration or real estate management.
- Strong knowledge of lease agreements, legal terms, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in lease management software and MS Office applications.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple leases simultaneously.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
