Machine Operator (Direct Hire)
Position Summary:
The Machine Operator is responsible for following standardized work instructions provided by clients. Basic duties will include, but are not limited to: loading and unloading product, packaging product, recording data and making adjustments to processes, completing quality inspections and working in a safe and collaborative manner.
Work Schedule
- 7-Day rotation
- Days, evenings, & midnights
- 8:00 am, 4:00 pm & 12:00 am Starts
- Overtime available
Responsibilities:
- Conducting various physical activities and mental reasoning in the manufacturing of polycarbonate film and sheet products.
- Manipulation of controls including operating a computer-controlled system while observing production processes as well as observing, correcting and recording instrument readings
- Follow standard operating processes to produce quality product
- Utilize computerized manufacturing system to perform production and labor reports
- Comply to all safety standards
- Comply to all standard operating procedures
- Communicate quality and continuous improvement opportunities to management’s attention
- Visually inspect quality characteristics of product
- Keep work area clean, safe and organized (5S)
- Complete daily / weekly preventative maintenance activities
- Ensure all safety processes are being followed and that all safety apparatuses are in place
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to pass mechanical aptitude assessment aligned with job responsibilities
- Good computer skills, SAP, data entry, and Microsoft Outlook
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Fork Truck with training provided
- Must be able to read and follow standard operating procedures
- Must possess dexterity for pushing buttons, turning levers / knobs and gripping
Compensation:
- $25.36 / hour with training and internal advancement opportunities
- Shift Premium: 15% (evenings/midnight/weekends)
