MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent professional level experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 7-10 years of leadership experience with design producibility, project planning, production process development, Lean manufacturing practices / implementation, people development, HSE&F oversight, and problem solving.
ABOUT THE JOB!
The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will lead the process engineers, manufacturing planning, facilities/maintenance, and general safety/environmental strategy implementation. The position is responsible for planning, coordinating, administering, and supervising the activities of the manufacturing process engineering function for the organization. The manager works with site and organizational staff to plan and design methods to maintain, improve or enhance existing manufacturing processes. The role is responsible for development and validation of new production processes as well as the upgrade of existing production processes and ensures effective transition into production. The person works with other manufacturing and engineering departments to ensure all new products are producible. The individual serves as an advisor to the process engineering team regarding projects, tasks, and operations. The role assists in analyzing and reviewing manufacturing budgets, schedules, and production requirements to determine the most cost effective and efficient methods of obtaining necessary resources. This individual develops and recommends revisions or enhancements to schedules, human and monetary resource allocations, and production standard operating procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Promote and lead a culture of safety and environmental responsibility
Work closely with Quality Control and manufacturing team to ensure manufacturing processes meet quality standards and regulatory requirements, are maintained / available on line and ready for production
Oversee installation, maintenance, and optimization of manufacturing equipment. Perform IQ/OQ/PQ
Works with Management and with Manufacturing Operations to set quality and output goals for established or planned processes
Evaluates producibility of new designs through application/implementation of various process techniques and equipment capability studies
Set performance goals, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews for their staff and provides feedback for other leaders when requested.
Initiates and oversees Manufacturing Process Engineering work related to researching, designing and developing machines, production fixtures, tools, mechanical production equipment, and planning development/qualification for new designs
Develops initial and final production readiness plans for new designs
Conducts or oversees Production Readiness Reviews (PRR) as necessary
Champions continuous improvement implementation (Lean Manufacturing) and productivity improvement
Ensures updates to existing manufacturing standard procedures are properly coordinated with the quality management system requirements and their release is coordinated to support organizational needs
Develop, manage, and monitor manufacturing engineering budget and expenses
Develops narratives for administrative and technical proposals regarding various manufacturing activities and capabilities
Hires and trains Manufacturing Process Engineering staff to support a plant operations, prioritizes their efforts.
Provide recommendations regarding manufacturing personnel training and equipment requirements
Promotes an atmosphere of excellence, high sense of urgency, high energy and exceptional communication
