At 2B Living, we are seeking a Senior Property Accountant who embodies our commitment to solving hard problems, growing courageously, and rowing together. This person will take ownership of complex financial and accounting functions, leveraging a strong analytical mindset and attention to detail to ensure accurate, clear reporting and insight. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance should have a strong foundation in accrual-based accounting with 3+ years of experience preferred, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance across various accounting practices. You should also be able to demonstrate an in-depth understanand ding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), real estate accounting principles, and the ability to analyze financial statements. In addition, the Property Accountant must be highly organized, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and possess the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively. Responsibilities:
- Review financial statements, reports, and other documents including balance sheets, ledgers, and income statements in accordance with GAAP and real estate accounting principles.
- Analyze financial statements, identify discrepancies, and investigate any irregularities.
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
- Troubleshoot and finalize monthly bank reconciliations.
- Responsible for accurate cash management including approving A/P and requesting for contributions when necessary.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets.
- Review General Ledger to ensure proper coding of all transactions
- Collaborate cross functionally with other departments
- Provide support to internal and external auditors.
- Help create and improve on written documentation of processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of three years of experience in accounting.
- In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and real estate accounting principles.
- Ability to analyze financial statements.
- Experience with Appfolio (preferred), property management accounting experience (required).

Compensation:
- Commensurate with experience - range $90-100K/annually (exempt position)
