Create, maintain, and enhance an effective compliance management program that provides a framework to
manage compliance related risks. Identify relevant risks and opportunities, determine the scope and impact,
and implements workable solutions while monitoring progress. Effectively evaluates potential situations that could affect MACU’s ethics and compliance standards, practices, and reporting integrity.
Supports the credit union’s compliance program through review of current operational
practices ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, internal policies and
procedures. Develop, participate in, and propose changes to Credit Union policies,
procedures, and processes for compliance and applicable regulatory and
consumer/public interest laws, rules, and regulation. Collaborates with departments
and managements to implement appropriate changes. Supports Credit Union’s key initiatives and implementation of new products/services.
Work independently or with a project team to identify compliance requirements. Tasks
range include but are not limited to participating in vendor discovery meetings,
assisting with compliance related components of implementations, performing
compliance related quality assurance activities and educating appropriate staff on
related compliance requirements. Throughout the process, collaborates to identify
creative solutions that remove roadblocks while streamlining workflow, enhancing the
member experience and maintaining regulatory compliance.
Collaborate with departments and trainers to provide training and education within all
responsible areas, to ensure departments are well versed in regulations needed to
perform routine job duties. Conduct training sessions for staff as needed.
Review and approve disclosures, forms, advertising, promotional materials, and
member communication related to products and services for compliance with
applicable laws. Work with legal counsel and other compliance expects, as assigned, to
ensure that contracts, agreements, practices, and disclosures are accurate, complete,
and properly protect MACU.
