CHEROKEE’S LEGAL TEAM
Cherokee’s legal group handles Michigan workers’ compensation, subrogation, and personal injury protection litigation for over 50 insureds with over 5,000 drivers and warehouse employees. Our team:
- Handles workers’ compensation hearings in all Michigan workers’ compensation bureaus throughout the state.
- Handles Michigan no-fault litigation in all Michigan courts including the Michigan Supreme Court, Michigan Court of Appeals.
- Provides legal guidance and advice to our workers’ compensation and personal injury protection claims staff as well as over 50 transportation insured customers.
- Offers legal support, research, defense assistance, and management of outside counsel for nationwide 3rd party trucking and logistics claims.
Our principal role within the organization is to best protect and service our policyholders and insureds regarding various aspects of applicable law.
QUALIFICATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Candidate should have experience in Litigation:
- Licensed to practice law in the state of Michigan and in good standing with the State Bar of Michigan.
- Ability to work independently in the courtroom as well as in a team environment with our existing Legal Vice President, Senior Corporate Counsel, clients, and adjusters.
