Responsibilities:
- Oversee all part number project activities, including tool design, gauge design, and supplier selection.
- Lead APQP processes for assigned projects.
- Mentor junior engineers and potentially oversee engineering interns.
- Contribute to process improvement projects and operational reviews.
- Manage and resolve part number scrap/defect issues.
- Develop and improve manufacturing procedures.
- Stand in for process/manufacturing engineers and plant managers as needed.
- Handle customer technical sales presentations and seminars.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical engineering field and 5+ years of foundry experience.
- Preferred experience in investment casting.
- Proficiency in CAD, FEA, and MiniTab software.
- Strong communication skills for internal and external interactions.
- Ability to read and interpret complex documents, blueprints, and customer specifications.
- Advanced mathematical skills, including statistical concepts like Six Sigma and SPC.
- Familiarity with ISO/IATF/AS quality system requirements and policies.
- Knowledge of 3D solid modeling and GD&T principles.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite.
