Established Oil & Gas firm needs Division Order Analyst. - 100% in office.
- Review and analyze incoming title documents (deeds, conveyances, wills/probate, affidavits and trust documents) affecting ownership interests in order to maintain ownership records and request additional documents as needed
- Review and analyze Agreements, Opinions, Plats, Leases, Contracts, Poolings or any governmental agreements necessary to determine proper ownership
- Professionally and competently respond to interest owner inquiries related to both land and accounting, in a timely manner via e-mail, written correspondence or phone conversation
- Determine working interests and burdens associated with working interests by reviewing title and associated documents
- Assist the Land Department in determining pre-drill ownership by creating working interest and net revenue interest breakdowns, including associated burdens
- Set-up/maintain Revenue and Joint Interest Billing Decks based on title review
- Prepare and send out Division/Transfer Orders for all new wells, and transfers of interest
- On Non-Operated wells, review and calculate the firms interest, set-up/maintain revenue and joint interest billing decks as related to the company's interest
- Coordinate with the firms Accounting Department to ensure that revenue and joint interest billing decks are updated within the monthly accounting calendar
- Manage owner master set-up and updates
- Working knowledge of Industry, State and Federal division order procedures
- Knowledge and understanding of oil and gas leases, joint operating agreements and other oil and gas operations agreements
- Assist Land Department in the acquisition or divestiture process, including but not limited to due diligence, review and preparation of various land exhibits
- Strong understanding of rental obligations and other annual payments and the ability to assist in maintaining, reviewing and executing to ensure timely payment of all obligations
QUALIFICATIONS FOR DIVISION ORDER ANALYST
- 5 years minimum Division Order Analyst experience
- Comfortable working in a small office environment with a willingness to provide assistance and take on new challenges and tasks
- Ability to perform complex tasks with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness with an attention to detail
- Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Strong communication (written and verbal), time management, and organizational skills
- Drive to achieve results with a desire to create and add value
- Ability to multi-task and shift priorities readily
- Ability to work within a team, take direction from Manager and focus attention on details to complete tasks timely
- Experience with Bolo Land and Accounting Systems preferred, but consideration will be given to other land and accounting systems if all other qualifications are met
- Proven experience with working effectively and efficiently with Land and Accounting Departments
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
