Day To Day:
A client in Tuscon, Arizona is hiring a Food Service General Director to work in the Arizona State Prison Complex. This position is typically a Monday through Friday role, however unexpected events can lead to the need for additional coverage on occasional weekends. This individual will be responsible for all staffing and scheduling, ensuring proper coverage across multiple kitchens within the facility. They oversee day-to-day operations, manage financials and inventory, are tasked with building and maintaining a positive culture across the team, which is currently a significant focus. The role involved reporting to higher management and overseeing approximately 50-75 people, including Food Service Managers in each kitchen and other oversight workers.

Respect is paramount, as it is essential to treat the inmates, who are responsible for cooking, with humanity and compassion. While enforcing rules and ensuring tasks are completed, the individual must approach their duties with care for the population they serve, understanding that showing a little compassion can yield significant positive returns.
Must Haves:
- 5+ Years of Progressive Experience in Food Service
- 8-10 Years without Bachelor’s Degree
- 4-5+ Years Correctional Experience OR Military Experience

$70,000 - $90,000
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
