As a System Administrator, you will be responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and support of the organization's computer systems and network infrastructure. You will ensure the smooth operation of hardware, software, and server resources, as well as handle user support requests. Your role will involve monitoring system performance, resolving technical issues, and implementing security measures to safeguard data and system integrity. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to provide reliable and efficient IT services.
ROLES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
System Administration: Own the installation, configuration, and maintenance of operating system and software applications. Ensure the stability and optimal performance of servers, networks, and associated systems.
User Support: Lead responsiveness to user inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and providing technical support for hardware, software, and network-related problems. Resolve incidents and service requests in a timely manner, ensuring high levels of user satisfaction. Train users on system functionality and best practices.
Network Management: Configure and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure network security. Implement and enforce network policies and procedures.
Security and Data Protection: Implement and maintain security measures to protect systems, data, and network resources. Apply security patches and updates to mitigate vulnerabilities and maintain user access controls.
Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Document network topology, system changes, and security protocols. Generate regular reports on system status, performance, and incidents.
Collaboration and Vendor Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, system engineers, and IT support staff, to resolve technical issues and implement system upgrades. Liaise with vendors and service providers for hardware and software procurement, maintenance, and support.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience preferred).
- 5-7 years of experience as a Help Desk, Service Desk, System Administrator or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems (e.g., Windows, MAC) server and SharePoint administration.
- Proficiency in network protocols and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Familiarity with security best practices and industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001)
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
Compensation and Benefits:
Lexipol offers a competitive base salary, monthly, quarterly, or annual incentive and a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) with Company match and a flexible paid time off plan.
Base compensation begins at $65,000 plus an annual performance-based bonus.
