Summary
The Production Supervisor will be responsible for the management of all employees on the floor during their shift including performance, attendance, coaching, and corrective action.
Key Activities
- Participates in continuous improvement and effectively communicates opportunities to improve efficiencies and effectiveness for this position.
- Schedule orders to the proper machines
- Ensure production floor feedback is accurately recorded in the Kiwi system.
- Delegate employees to tasks when needed.
- Ensure policies and procedures are followed.
- Discipline.
- Record absenteeism and attendance.
- Respond, record, and investigate accidents and administer first aid.
- Supply tooling and resources to employees and machines.
- Assist scheduling personnel on overtime.
- Make decisions on customer orders, maintenance on machines, and employee training.
- Recognize good performance and acknowledge employees.
- Communicate between departments on customer orders.
- Use a computer to enter customer orders in machine line-up, check inventory, employee scanning in and out of work, and corrugator schedule lineup.
- Participate and facilitate communication meetings with employees pertaining to safety, toolbox discussions, daily production walks, preventative maintenance meetings, and monthly Crew Leader meetings.
- Write up, and/or approve maintenance work orders.
Preferred Skills
- Proven management experience with a previous background in corrugated, paper, or similar manufacturing environments.
Educations & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or equivalent work field, preferred OR High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of 4 years of progressively more responsible operations leadership experience within a Packaging company.
