They must have the ability and desire to work on a team advising start-ups to mature businesses nationwide and internationally on a wide variety of on-call, strategic, and preventive matters.

We are seeking an experienced Associate General Counsel with ideally a healthcare and/or technology background, to work for QPWB’s innovative corporate division, GenCo Legal®, and its significant subscription client and network relationships: https://gencolegal.com/.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for all facets of legal issues impacting businesses. Demonstrated experience in corporate matters, specifically in areas of corporate governance, contracts, compliance, HR, and liability oversight is required. Knowledge of healthcare law and regulation is needed. In-house experience working closely with business teams preferred. Expierence managing outside counsel required. Transactions expierenced strongly desired.

This position is based in Tampa, with a hybrid-in-office and remote working environment.

Responsibilities:
- Client Account Manager: Day-to-day legal interface and strategic deliverables leader to firm clients especially within the healthcare and technology sectors. Handling deliverables in the areas of corporate governance, contracts, compliance, HR, and pre-suit liability.
- Negotiation and Drafting: Provide legal counsel on a broad range of agreements from consumers to vendors.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of evolving regulations in the areas most impactful to our clients and ensure compliance with applicable laws and industry standards.
- Risk Management: Assess and mitigate legal risks, providing strategic advice to the executive team.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and executive leadership, to facilitate successful transactions and achieve business objectives.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active bar membership with any U.S State Bar.
- 3-5 years of legal experience ideally with a focus on healthcare and/or technology related issues.
- In-depth knowledge of corporate-related laws and regulations.
- Excellent drafting and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Management & Mentoring experience, patience, and passion.
