Job Description
- Leads/follows up on all vendors that support the sanitation function and programs.
- Follows all Plant Safety processes and protocols.
- Responsible for fair and timely evaluations of all employees in his/her area of responsibility.
- Responsible to conduct team meetings that are meaning full and offer the sanitors the opportunity to express themselves on pertinent problems relating to their jobs.
- Responsible to see that all personnel are performing their assignments in a timely manner and that overtime is controlled.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Oversee the tasks and train subordinates on proper sanitation SOP’s.
- Ensures compliance with all company and regulatory product quality standards, sanitation standards, food safety standards, employee safety and environmental standards, and enforces GMPS’s and implements HACCP processes and procedures.
- Supports current and future plant KPI’s ( Examples but not limited to, Sanitation Effectiveness, Air Quality, EMPC and Chemical usage.)
- Maintain proper communications with upper management as well as production, maintenance, quality control, and warehouse departments.
- Oversee and train subordinates and help with their development. Ensure compliance of safety program and government regulations as it relates to sanitation.
- Protect product from microbiological and extraneous matter contamination.
- Supports and participates in third party/customer/regulatory audits.
- Evaluates and maintains accuracy and completion of all information in the master cleaning schedule.
- Studies production schedules and estimates sanitor hour requirements for completion of job.
- Monitor and audit sanitation program, making adjustments as necessary to SOP’S sanitating check lists, and processing and packaging equipment cleaning systems to ensure optimal operation.
- Assure that production has trouble free start up on a daily basis.
- Ensures sanitation team has an adequate supply of tools, chemicals and SOP’s.
Years of Experience
3 years in a previous Manager role in sanitation.
Education
High School Diploma, Technical School or related field of study: Food Technology, Manufacturing, or related.
Pay: Up to $130,000 plus sign on bonus.
