An R&D Packaging Laboratory Technician position in Calabasas, CA is now available through Adecco Healthcare and Life Sciences. In this role, you will provide support to the OPI R&D Packaging team to assist on initiatives as instructed. The work hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm and is 100% onsite. This is a 6-month temp/contract role starting in September 2024. The pay range is $35.00-40.00/hr. – depending on your level of experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Any packaging lab work as instructed including executing lab testing, data collection, data entry, issuing test report summaries or any other tasks needed to maintain and/or improve our packaging lab capabilities.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the lab and storage areas.
- Liaison with both internal and external partners to collect data/documents as requested.
- Maintain documents used to store Data, Team Shared Drive access, etc.
- Data entry work needed for client specifications in SAP based system.
- Provide any additional task related support needed by the team to support the packaging needs of the business.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience. Package engineering degree preferred or other Bachelor of Science/Engineering degree with lab testing experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word with the capacity to increase mastery with experience/training.
- Detail-oriented and good data organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Hands-on experiences on equipment setup and process improvement; Experiences in Instron is a plus.
- Technically precise and eager to learn new technical details.
- Ability to work with structured data specifications.
- Team player with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Lab is located in Calabasas, CA and job is fully onsite, Monday through Friday, 5 days/week.
- Daily work performed in both an office & lab setting, subject to long periods of sitting/standing.
- Able to follow company policies and procedures related to company practices and safety procedures.
- Willingness to operate various standard office equipment and/or laboratory equipment as instructed.
- Individual will be exposed to working in or around a lab environment with various equipment, machinery and chemicals. Safety precautions must be adhered to and followed at all times.
