Attorney
Our client is a leading worker's compensation defense law firm in California. They have 10+ offices in California and 300+ employees. They are looking to add Attorneys to their team and the role is remote (in-person board appearances as necessary. The firm has been recognized as a Great Place to Work for the past three years and have high tenure with their Attorneys.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of Workers’ Compensation cases of varying levels of complexity and exposure
- Meets with clients and daily communications with professionals to resolve disputes in an expeditious and efficient manner
- Answers and develops theories and affirmative defenses, and conducts evaluations of case files
- Engages in routine motion practice, discovery, and research
- Handles depositions, hearings, conferences, and Trials
- Negotiates resolutions of disputes
- Travels to the boards/courts as required
Qualifications:
- Must reside in CA and be in general area of worker's compensation board
- Member of the State Bar of California
- 2+ years of experience (Associate Attorney)
- 4+ years of experience (Attorney)
