Job Description
Final Cut, Ltd. is seeking a Systems Administrator to join our engineering department. This position is a staff role with benefits and will be based in our New York facilities. You will also be working with bi-coastal team leaders to maintain the infrastructure and service all technical needs that arise while adhering to company standards and practices.
Responsibilities
- Triage, coordinate and schedule technical support requests and tasks
- Create and maintain internal documentation
- Maintain logs and implement routines that track asset movement, security events and other operational procedures as necessary
- Provide desktop and application support for producer laptops, artist workstations, servers, and networks
- Must be able to work across multiple time zones and tight deadlines, which may require working outside normal working hours
- Management of all company owned hardware assets via physical tags and associative inventory control system, including administration of sourcing net new setups and managing loaner machines to staff
- This role will be intimately involved with network, video and audio services within the facility
- The successful candidate will show a willingness to turn their hand to any challenge presented to them and resource it in a timescale relevant to urgency. This will undoubtedly involve juggling tasks running in tandem and will be reporting to the Managing Director.
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience
- Excellent writing skills, and the ability to communicate clearly, both to technical and non-technical team members.
- Highly organized and detail oriented with strong project planning experience
- Technical facility with and ability to employ proper troubleshooting methods
- Ability to handle high pressure, deadline driven environments
- Knowledge of and experience supporting Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms in a networked environment.
- Experience using Google Workspace and other business applications
- Experience with scripting languages (bash, python, etc.) highly desirable
