Job Description – Sr. System Engineer
JETCOOL Technologies is seeking an experienced system engineer to support our product development programs by providing system engineering expertise and leading the product reliability, maintainability and life cycle management from materials, hardware components (mechanical, electrical and thermal fluid) to the control systems. Successful candidates will work closely with a team of inter-disciplined engineers from understanding of customer requirements to entire product development cycle, to product integration and installation at customer sites, to reliable operation and decommissioning. Strong preference will be given to those with a proven track record of thermal fluid system development and strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities
- Apply system engineering expertise to analyze design concept, component and system reliability, maintainability and availability to ensure system performance throughout the product life cycle
- Work closely with R&D and product engineering teams for product development and system optimization
- Provide innovative solutions for system performance and reliability
- Perform product and components FMEA, potential problem analysis, and root cause analysis
- Design rigorous experiments (including accelerated testing) to verify product reliability
- Collaborate with project engineers to engage with external vendors to procure parts and hardware
- Effectively document and communicate results
- Candidates with more experience will also be expected to provide technical leadership in the framework of small teams to execute programs.

Qualifications
- Bachelor (or higher) of Science (B.S. in mechanical or aerospace engineering) and 5+ years work experience in system engineering with focus on system reliability and life cycle management
- Excellent first principles knowledge in mechanical engineering, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, heat transfer and electrical engineering
- Ability to develop thermal fluids system, knowledge of mechanical and thermal analysis of radiator, heat exchanger and electronic device.
- Experience in performing FMEA, risk analysis and root cause analysis and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to design experiments with hands-on skills
- Ability to balance and prioritize multiple simultaneous projects
- Ability to work independently and on small teams
- Effective communication and document skills
- Prior experience in electronics or a hardware industry is preferred

- Experience with product development cycles involving environmental and reliability test campaigns
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, technology startup
- Knowledge of liquid pumps
- Industry experience in aerospace/defense, automotive, or data centers
