Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Equipment Reliability Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and maintainability of critical equipment and systems within the facility. This role involves monitoring equipment performance, conducting root cause analyses, and implementing maintenance strategies to improve equipment life cycles and minimize unplanned downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) programs for critical equipment such as pumps, conveyors, crushers, and material handling systems.
- Perform root cause failure analysis (RCFA) to identify issues, recommend corrective actions, and prevent future failures.
- Monitor equipment performance using condition-based monitoring tools (vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, etc.) and implement preventive/predictive maintenance strategies.
- Collaborate with the maintenance and operations teams to ensure reliability standards are met and ensure optimal performance of the equipment.
- Lead and manage reliability improvement projects, ensuring equipment availability and performance targets are achieved.
- Develop equipment reliability plans, including spare parts strategies and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).
- Analyze maintenance data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
- Work closely with engineering teams to assess and recommend equipment modifications or upgrades to improve reliability.
- Provide technical guidance to maintenance personnel on equipment repair and reliability issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a reliability engineering role, preferably in the chemical, or mining industries.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
