Planet Technology has partnered with Madison, WI based client to find a desktop support professional for a contract role that has the potential to go full-time.
The Technical Support Specialist will be responsible for providing both deskside and remote technical support for for both as well as hardware and software systems.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for all end-user systems including hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve PC related issues, including hardware and software problems, networking problems as well as user login issues.
- Maintain and update Active Directory user account management
- Provide basic training to users on how to use, software and hardware applications.
- Maintain and update the IT knowledge base and documentation.
- Assist with the deployment of new hardware/software related projects as required.
- Support remote/video applications such as Zoom and WebEx as well as VOIP solutions like Zoom.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Associate degree in Computer Science or a related field required.
- 5+ years of experience in Computer support or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with networking and database management.
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory
- Familiarity with OSI models
- Experience with Windows 365
- Experience with Macs preferred but not required.
