Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the in-house legal team in all legal matters
- Assist with the preparation, review, and revision of contracts and legal agreements
- Conduct legal research to assist the legal team in decision making
- Ensure company's operations and business transactions follow all relevant legal and internal rules
- Maintain and update the company's legal and compliance database
- Liaise with external legal counsel and manage tasks related to litigation
- Assist in due diligence processes for mergers and acquisitions
- Prepare and distribute corporate communications regarding relevant legal procedures
- Ensure proper filing and indexing of original legal documents
- Assist with corporate secretarial duties like scheduling board meetings, creating agendas and recording meeting minutes
Qualifications:
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in paralegal studies, law or a related field
- Experience working in a corporate legal department or law firm
- Extensive knowledge of corporate law and legal procedures
- Proficient in legal research and use of relevant software and tools
- Understanding of business structures and corporate governance
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
