Job Title: Architectural Draftsman

Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and technically proficient Architectural Draftsman with a strong passion for assisting the Project Architect in producing detailed, well-organized construction drawings. This position is ideal for individuals with prior experience in architecture or as an Architect-in-Training, who are highly skilled in using Revit to focus on project constructability and the creation of design documents.
As part of our team, the Architectural Draftsman will collaborate with Project Managers, Architects, and Interior Designers to develop BIM models and ensure accurate drawing documentation. The role involves routine architectural modeling, detailing, mockups of construction documents, and working on specific technical assignments, including research and editing red-line documents. You will also assist in technical design development under the supervision of a licensed Architect.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Project Architect in the creation of detailed construction drawings
- Develop BIM models and produce drawing documentation under the guidance of Project Managers, Architects, and Interior Designers
- Perform routine architectural modeling, drawing, and detailing assignments, including mockups of construction documents
- Conduct technical research and investigations to support project needs
- Assist in developing technical designs and details, such as wall sections, under an Architect’s supervision
- Review and edit red-line documents, ensuring accuracy and quality in the final output
Role Requirements
- Technical Degree in architectural studies, engineering, or construction disciplines
- 5+ years of related work experience, with proficiency in Revit, focusing on project constructability and design documentation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with SketchUp and InDesign is a plus
- Strong communication skills, able to build positive relationships with staff, consultants, vendors, and management
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and a positive attitude
- Strong organizational skills, with effective time management and the ability to prioritize tasks
- A commitment to continuous learning and professional development
